THE STARLIGHT SESSIONS

THE STUDIO SPACE:

The Studio Space at the Badlands Amphitheatre is an indoor venue designed for more intimate events, performances, and gatherings.

It provides a cozy and flexible setting for various activities, such as live music, small theatrical performances, workshops, or private celebrations.

For the upcoming Valentine’s Night in 2025, the space will be transformed to feature The Starlight Sessions with Alberta-based singer and songwriter Ollee Owens performing live, complemented by Drum Distilling Co. cocktails, small bites, and an atmospheric starlight projection show.

Previous Sessions: In Winter of 2024, we hosted Aurora Night in this space. Guests enjoyed delicious bites while listening to the Dan Goldstein Trio surrounded by the beauty of the aurora.

THE MUSIC: OLLEE OWENS

Ollee Owens is a talented Alberta-based singer and songwriter known for her powerful, soulful voice and emotionally charged performances. Her music blends elements of blues, rock, gospel, and roots, creating a unique sound that resonates deeply with listeners. Ollee’s lyrics often explore themes of resilience, love, and human connection, delivered with raw honesty and passion.

Her commanding stage presence and ability to connect with audiences have made her a standout performer. Drawing inspiration from iconic vocalists like Janis Joplin and Aretha Franklin, Ollee Owens infuses her songs with a timeless quality that bridges the gap between vintage soul and contemporary soundscapes.

Included in your ticket purchase, is a delicious array of small bites to enjoy throughout the evening. Coffee, tea, and water are also included.

Additional purchase: Drum Distilling Co. is a distillery based in Drumheller, Alberta, known for crafting high-quality, small-batch spirits. They specialize in creating unique and locally inspired beverages, often using premium ingredients that reflect the region’s character. 

Drum Distilling Co. collaborates with events like Aurora Night and the Starlight Sessions at the Badlands Amphitheatre, where their drinks are featured as part of the guest experience, showcasing their creativity and enhancing the event’s atmosphere.
